Serg and Sheets: Bio
Sergii Shchokin and Sheetal Sethi were first introduced by their German language teacher in late 2015, when they were working as expats for the same chemical company in Düsseldorf, Germany. Serg, originally from Ukraine, plays harmonica, and Sheets, originally from England, plays acoustic guitar.
Although their time in Düsseldorf together was over a very short six weeks period (as Serg was soon to return to Ukraine and Sheets had not long arrived to Germany), they managed to fit in a well-received four track performance at a new pub opening, which included covers of Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door” and Coldplay’s “Don’t Panic”. The pair also performed and later recorded an original piece they titled the “B Flat Theme”, due to Serg’s reverberative Bb Harmonica matched with Sheets’ nylon strung acoustic guitar with capo, to produce a very bluesy and Spanish feeling number.
